I’m currently developing a new feature film project. It will be a fictional film presented in the style of a documentary. The film will combine elements of theater/improv acting, narrative/fiction short films (thriller & dramedy), documentary filmmaking, and art therapy. While it may resemble a mockumentary, it is ultimately a film that pays respect to—and honors—art therapy practitioners. I’m currently seeking funding, producers, cast members, screenplay co-writers, and below-the-line crew members. If you’re interested in getting involved, please email me at serlyris.art@gmail.com
There are stories we hold on to— they become our identities.
It is easy to let other people take our power away. And we forget the power inside of us has always belonged to us..
When cruelty disguises itself in a good person’s skin, it’s like sugarcoated drugs. We become addicted to it and trap our wholeness in toxicity.
Remember, they don’t define you.
Remember, they are not responsible for your life.
Remember, comparatively, we only know something— but truly, we all know nothing.
The greatest evil is taking away one’s basic needs and claiming, “I forgot.”
Remember, they can’t write your stories. You—you have to rewrite and tell your story.
Without the genuine kindness of our encounters, I couldn’t survive the grief, sorrow, betrayal, disappointment, defeat, misunderstanding, and the disabilities of my own flaws.
Remember, genuine people and kindness exist. They exist. And you are one of them.
Remember, you are allowed to grow, to heal, to feel safe again, to trust what you bring to the table, and to love deeply.
Remember, yes, you can feel.
Remember the relaxing comfort of lying down on the empty soccer field, the fresh aroma of the grass, the unconditional support of our Earth, the wide-open blue sky, and you—you are existing with them.
Remember, it is so good to be alive.
Remember.

You were right in front of me. And my head was kidnapped by my past truth of loss
The night we made our promise. It was like the fire melting my darkness away
I woke up from the years of grieving sleep. Realizing deeply inside I chose not to let go
Her call alerted a dying soul—It was time. I must go
Your protection grounded my strength. The courageous soul entered the journeys of Goodbye, Horror, and Hope
Goodbye
The blue bird from Canada liberated the depressing door
A surprise that the lie, disrespect, ignorance, and cowardice were the truth
The reality of my own flaw, I swallowed
The fire thus burned, burned the fakes, regrets, and burned it all
Horror
Angels came to bless with friendship songs
Witnessing the cheated judgment from the court for the dying soul
In front of him, she faked her bravery with tearing eyes
He gave her hope but he knew she must give herself hope
The victims roared with victory
Other voices were silenced
What’s so good about the outside world? Come—join our victory!
Spiritual blessings came whispered: change must come
True that she caused it all
True that she loved us all
True that she abused us all
We could no longer handle more. Angels breathed air to our souls
There were more souls suffering, like us all—alone
No cat for her mice showed her loss
Chaotic outbursts begged for help, love, stay, pain, and company. Narcissistically damaged all
Newborn coming into this world
Hope
Angels sing their friendship songs. There are all kinds of outside worlds
Thank you for kindly protecting our souls!
